Coffee Life #4

Always start the day off with a proud and loud HELLO!!!

So, hello to you all. Hope you're having a great day so far. I know there are many people right now going through a lot because of the COVID-19 disaster. Whether it be being stuck at home, having to work from home, unable to go out and play with friends, or if you were unfortunate enough to catch it. I really hope that everyone pushes through and fights till the end as I believe we can make it through this!

Now today, we are going to talk about another method of brewing your coffee, slightly similar to the french press. It's called the Aeropress. You can also call it the plunger, or just press, but i think it sounds much cooler as Aeropress.

Aeropress:

This form of coffee brewing is relatively new. It was launched in 2005 by Alan Adler, who is also the maker of Aerobie Frisbee. The Aeropress is plastic and comes in 3 separate parts.

Place filter into the coffee basket at the bottom of the brew chamber. The ground coffee will then be placed into the brew chamber as hot water is added into the mix. To extract the coffee, the plunger is pressed downwards to create air pressure, forcing the brewed coffee through a filter and into a cup.

Grind the coffee beans to fine-medium. Add 2.5 Tablespoons of coffee and brew for approximately 1-2 minutes. You'll taste a sweet, espresso-style coffee through this process.

The Aeropress produces a single cup of coffee and is easy to clean. It's very portable (heavily popular with campers) and requires either the Aeropress micro paper filter or fine metal filter to be used.

Enjoy another day of your Mooju Coffee :)
